The “shell” is a place that seems a bit scary at first, sometimes you make a mistake but you made a backup first, right? After carrying on long enough you’ll realize you have a far better understanding of what’s going on (or not) in a shell then you do with a GUI.
Why use the command prompt…
What drives me to the command prompt over and over again is the fact that I can’t stand it when I click a button… nothing happens. I want to know why it didn’t work and where did it fail…
